My 30 day LP is now available to buy!
In August 2012, I set myself the challenge of writing and recording an LP in 30 days . I managed to finish the songs and the recordings by the end of the month, but it took me a further 4 weeks to mix and finalise the album.
Finally though, I’m delighted to say, The Come & Go is now out and available to listen to for free on Spotify, or to buy from iTunes or CDBaby. I hope you enjoy it.

I owe some people some thank yous. First and foremost, my family have put up with listening to me record and mix this for two months now. I’m sick of it so they must be too.
One Glass Eye features the deftly capable Darren Alderman on the trumpet. I bought Darren round with no knowledge of what I wanted him to do and within two hours, he had co-written and performed the trumpet part – all under pressure from me because I had to shifty him out of the house by 7! Sorry for being so rude. Thank you for lending your talents.
Thanks to Lewis Docherty for the colourful cover photo. It was apparently taken at an annual rubber duck race!
Finally, thanks to everyone that got behind me back in August. I mentioned in my original blog that I wasn’t sure if I ought to tell anyone that I was trying to record an album in 30 days. In retrospect I am pleased that I did because, without all of you asking how I was doing, I probably would have just given up after a week. It was tough, but knowing that people were looking forward to hearing something at the end made it worth doing. Thanks.
